Just a quick final reminder about the upcoming fall AppsEvents Summits happening across the US, Europe, and Asia. We still have few places left before we close registration a week before the summit dates. We have some world class international speakers flying in for all our summits as well as fantastic session lineups prepared together with leading local Google for Education and EdTech experts for a memorable PD experience.
All our summits will have ‘demo slams’, a ‘Samsung tablet raffle’, ‘Google Apps Admin’ strand and ‘mobile learning’ strand held in our Samsung Smart Classroom, where you can try the latest device as well as learn about using tablets in the classroom.
Here are some additional things you can look forward to in our Fall summits:
Fresno Summit
We are thrilled to have EdTech superstar Alice Keeler (alicekeeler.com) joining us for the Fresno Summit this September 12th and13th at Glacier Point Middle School. Alice will be delivering the day 1 keynote and will be presenting some great sessions sessions on Google Drive and Apps Scripts.
Dubbed as the ‘Queen of Spreadsheets’, Alice will also share her rubric creator template (http://alicekeeler.com/rubrictab2) and other nerdy and super useful projects and tips. REGISTER for the Fresno Summit here.
Seattle Summit On the Friday before the Seattle Summit, we are delighted to offer a one-day Chromebook Management Course. This course is designed to help you get started using Chromebooks from both the end user and administrator’s perspective. This course will also serve as a comprehensive guide for schools planning to integrate Chromebooks in a 1:1 environment in their curriculum.
Due to overwhelming demand, we are also happy to announce that we will be opening a second ‘Google Educator’ certification preparation bootcamp which will happen after the summit on Monday, September 28th.
Our 4th annual European summit is being held at Inter-Community School in Zurich and features an amazing speaker line up. As well as all our regular summit sessions and strands we are delighted to be offering our ‘Leadership strand’ which is held over two regular summit sessions. The curriculum is designed by Google leadership experts Rowland Baker and John Mikton to cover the best practices for leaders at schools running Google Apps.
This year’s Bangkok Summit will be held at Thai-Chinese International School (TIS). We have some exciting advanced sessions especially for those of you who are now regular Bangkok Summit attendees. Apart from basic and intermediate sessions on the various Google for Education tools, there will also be sessions on leveraging the use of Social Media in education, Chromebook integration and best practices, and using tablets in the classroom. For admins and teachers looking to get involved in administration we have both our AppsEvents Certified Admin Level 1 and 2 courses at the summit.
For AppsEvents first Singapore event, we are excited to partner with one of the leading international schools groups in Asia ‘Taylor’s Schools’ at their Nexus International School. The 2 day summit will feature some of the leading experts in Google for Education in Asia such as James Sayer and Lee Webster and features our ‘Certified Administrator’, ‘Mobile learning’ ‘Google Beginners’ and ‘Google Advanced’ strands.
