All is set for Sweden Google in Education Summit 2014

We can’t wait to have you for the upcoming summit at Xenter Botkyrka this coming October 27 to 28. Time flies so fast and we now have a few weeks to go before the most awaited Google event of the year. We are all very excited (and we know you are too), so here’s a peek of what you can expect from the summit.

Featured Speaker: Allison Mollica

The 2014 Sweden summit will feature the amazing Allison Mollica, one of the most sought after speaker on all things Google for education famous for her “Treasure Throve’ series – a curriculum developed to take your learning of the basic Google “apps” to the next level. Allison is a Google Apps for Edu Certified Trainer and Certified Administrator, a Secondary Virtual Instructor of Computers and Web Design. She has worked in educational technology for over 15 years and has a Master’s in Technology in Education and Advanced Certificate in Online Instruction.

Google Certification Updates

One of the common questions we are often asked is how to become Google certified. For those who are interested on becoming a Google Certified Teacher, Trainer, or Admin, the summit is your chance to learn more about the certification process, the difference between the various certifications, as well as tips to help you comply all the requirements and how to pass all online exams.

Session line-up

We have prepared a fantastic line up of sessions for all job roles! If you are looking for sessions that will give you new ideas on how to use existing tools, featured speaker Allison Mollica will be giving powerful sessions on getting more from Gmail, Chrome, and Google Slides to help you discover new things you never knew existed.

For Swedish schools in the process of migrating to Google Apps, there will be a dedicated session to be lead by Anders Wockatz where you get a chance to raise your school’s biggest concern from implementation to live pilot.

There will also be a session tackling the use of Google tools to enhance school development, from a pedagogical leadership perspective and another one to help you improve you pedagogy with the Super Quiz add-on. Check the complete speakers and sessions line up here.

Try out Google Glass

If you want to experience the world through Glass, there will be a dedicated area in the summit where you can try Google Glass during breaks!
