Identity: Where Fear and Change Intersect in Education by Sarah Woods for TEDxAmsterdamED

AppsEvents core team member Sarah Woods recently spoke at TEDxAmsterdamED 2015 on identity where she shared her personal struggles of losing her hair to Alopecia and how her new identity as a bald woman has helped her develop insight and gain a unique perspective on how to bridge the technology gap among teachers who never thought themselves as “techies”.

Sarah Woods

Sarah was the IT Director and a Secondary IT Integration Coach at Pechersk School International in Ukraine between 2010-2014 and is now working as an MYP Digital Design Technology teacher at the International School of Amsterdam. She is a member of the ECIS technology committee and holds a Masters of Science in Education in K-12 Technology Integration.

She is also a Google Apps for Education Certified Trainer and has worked extensively with Google Apps for Education in schools for resource management, calendaring, collaboration, curation and much more! She has worked in international schools for 7 years.
