Update on ‘The Connected School Conference’ Bangkok October 2021

I wanted to post an update about the planning for our upcoming annual conference theconnected.school taking place in Bangkok in October 2021. If you check out the site you can register your interest to get updates on speakers, events, etc. No payment is necessary now, and even when we open registration we will of course refund immediately in the event of any COVID travel restrictions.

We are planning this to be THE conference for forward-thinking International School Educators from across Asia. Building on our 10 years of Google Summits in the region we have broadened the event to include:

  1. ‘Practical’ strands to give you concrete tips and tools to take back to your school on Monday on the main technologies used in the classroom including Google, Apple, and Microsoft.
  2. Sessions relating to navigating the current situation for schools such as teaching remotely, digital citizenship, and screen time.
  3. Certification sessions: Multiple Friday pre-event certification bootcamps.
  4. Leadership workshops: Whether you are a current or aspiring school leader you will get to connect, learn and network with your peers from the leading schools of Asia

In this post, I wanted to highlight what is in my opinion the most important aspect of any great conference: Networking. It’s been a focus of all our events and I am proud to say there are hundreds of friendships, connections, and new job opportunities that have come from meetings at our events. We work hard to cultivate the ‘hallway track’…..to make it easy and fun for people to meet both between sessions and within sessions.

The real networking happens at our evening events and we have already booked in some epic venues for Friday and Saturday to provide some truly memorable experiences.

A trip to Bangkok wouldn’t be complete without a visit to a Sky bar and our host hotel the Pullman G has one of the best for our Friday night networking party. (BTW we have 5* rooms at the hotel for just $60/person!)

Saturday evening we will walk next door to the amazing British Club Bangkok where we have the upstairs area and Veranda booked for a drinks reception for the whole evening.

It goes without saying that we organise free drinks and snacks for all our attendees at all our events.

Head on over to theconnected.school to get notified of any updates.
