Design Email Campaigns with Gmail

Gmail has finally released two highly requested features in its platform. Users can now use templates, called Layouts, to create email campaigns and multi-send the campaigns to a list in your contacts.

Layouts

One click at the bottom of an email will open a world of email design possibilities with Gmail’s Layouts. Users simply select the layout they’d like to see and then replace images and insert text. Custom coloring and font, adding a logo, customized footers and links are all also available. Another key feature is the ability for recipients to unsubscribe from the list. Gmail’s layouts are simple and easy to navigate.

Multi-Send Mode

Released with layouts is the ability to mail merge messages in Gmail. Simply create a group in your Google Contacts and select the Mail Merge toggle button at the bottom of an email. Insert the group in the “To” field and the emails will send out to each person in the contact group. You can even use merge tags to personalize the email with the recipient’s name. If you don’t know how to create contact groups, click here for a quick how-to.

You’ve got to try these features out. It could be a huge game changer for many users. I see a lot of Google Contact groups being created in your future!
